Installation Instructions:

  • Remove the tyre and lay it on a sturdy work surface with the valve pointed skywards
  • Use a tyre lever or a large flat screwdriver to carefully break the bead between tyre and rim. Then flip the edge of the tyre over the edge of the rim all the way around the rim.
  • Now the Tyre is only partially fitted to the rim, push the valve head back into the rim and remove the old tube. (Inspect the old tube, tyre and inner rim for sharp edges or points that may interfere with the new tube).
  • Lay the new tube over the wheel and ensure the valve is positioned the same with the valve pointed outwards. Insert the tube into the tyre and over the rim aligning the valve stem carefully through the hole in the rim (you may need to remove the valve mechanism from the valve stem if any air exists in the tube).
  • Check that the tube is not twisted, then refit the tyre to the rim by levering it back over the ridge of the steel rim. Be careful not to pinch or damage the tube with the levers. Hint: Some soapy water or a little silicone grease applied to the rim's edge and the tyre's edge can help.
  • Refit the wheel, then begin to fill with a little air, e.g. up to 10 psi. Spin the wheel and tap with a rubber amllet to help alleviate bunching/twist or tensions between the tube, tyre and rim. Then fill up to a maximum of 30psi (1.3 bar, 137kpa) until the tyres bead expands against the rim.
